In-Depth Seminar
Project Delivery Mapping Workshop

Join leading expert in institutionalizing sustainability and improving firm performance and profitability Barbra Batshalom to examine your firm’s current processes and methodologies, identify barriers to success, and formulate strategies to raise the bar and provide consistent, high quality performing projects.

How does your firm achieve excellence? Do you have a methodology to achieve consistent, high quality performance? Is green sustainable, high performance design or LEED baked into your process? Is integrative design a myth or a reality for your teams? Have you signed the AIA 2030 Commitment and hit a wall – or just want to ensure success? This workshop will help you deconstruct your current project delivery process to identify barriers and formulate strategies to raise the bar and be on a path of continuous improvement. This is a fun, highly interactive way to have valuable dialogue within the firm while charting a course for the future that improves client services, business development and internal efficiencies.

Because this workshop is about how the firm operates, firms will benefit more if more representatives attend. A mix of principal, project manager and marketing or staff from across different business units yields an even richer output from the workshop which can inform discussions and actions back at the office afterwards.

Barbra Batshalom is the founder and executive director of the nonprofit Sustainable Performance Institute and past founder and president of the USGBC Affiliate in Massachusetts. She is an industry leader whose vision drives the organization's programs to transform the market from public policy to professional practice. SPI's Green Firm Certification is the first industry program to provide a framework for evaluating the capability of design and construction firms to deliver a consistent, high quality sustainability service and was adopted by HUD in 2012. SPI's Green Firm Boot Camp workshop program has been delivered to hundreds of firms nation-wide to help raise the bar on professional practice in the industry. With a diverse background of fine arts, social psychology and 20 years in architecture and sustainability consulting, she brings a variety of skills to her work and a unique perspective engaging the human dynamics of decision-making and creative collaboration to technical work.  Her recent presentations include Greenbuild 2015 (in US, Brazil and Italy), Living Future 2014, NESEA 2015, 2016, and AIA National Convention, 2014.
