EarthDance Design Charrette Session 2
Apply your green building knowledge and passion for a great cause! EarthDance Organic Farm School in Ferguson, MO is in need of a new waterwise restroom facility and they would like YOUR help!
Join USGBC-Missouri Gateway Chapter for a two-part charrette to bring this facility to life.
We're looking for local expertise in green building:
- equipment specifications
- green infrastructure
- construction and
- project management.
BONUS if you can bring any knowledge related to the Materials and Water Petals of the Living Building Challenge to help push this project to be net positive energy, water and waste!
EarthDance is looking for the restroom facility to serve as an inspirational and educational experience for visitors that will demonstrate sustainable practices through the building envelope, water use strategies and waste management. Sustainable design elements include composting toilets, gray water reuse, rainwater reuse, renewable and recycled materials, natural lighting and minimized electricity needs. Learn more about EarthDance Farms.
At Design Charrette Session 2 we will take information gathered in Session 1, apply sustainability and Living Building Challenge best practices and develop the building and infrastructure design for the waterwise restroom facility.
