Fresh Starts Community Garden Workday
Join the USGBC-Missouri Gateway Chapter Emerging Professionals to participate in a morning of outdoor gardening work at the Fresh Starts Community Garden. Assist the North Newstead Association update some of their community garden beds harvest vegetables, weed, and network!
Join us! Grab a co-worker, friend, or family member and come VOLUNTEER to help clean up the garden, including build/ repair new raised beds, and harvest fresh veggies. All tools will be provided. Please bring your own gloves (we have a few extras) and a water bottle, hat and sunscreen. Thanks!
The garden is open, Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 9:00 am - 12:00 pm. Donuts provided. Happy gardening!
The North Newstead Association (NNA) is a Missouri not-for-profit corporation designated by the City of St. Louis as a Community Based Development Organization, or “CBDO” for purposes of the Community Development Block Grant Program and it is designated by the City of St. Louis as a Community Housing Development Organization, or “CHDO” for purposes of Home Investment Partnerships Program.
Its mission is to bring community partners together to promote economic well being in the North Newstead Association geographic area by providing affordable housing and family support services to the area's low and moderate-income residents.
